"I did mine to connect with my body and to feel sexy for myself. To see my body, especially parts Iā€™m still insecure about, in a different, beautiful way. To be an example to other larger women that we can and have a right to feel just as beautiful and sexy and empowered as every other woman. Debra captured exactly how I've always wanted to see myself, sexy and beautiful and free. I struggle with my body a lot but in the last 2 years I've come a long way in my body positivity journey. The thing I love the most about it is just the fact that it let's me experience this life in the purest and fullest way I can. It houses my spirit. Don't wait. Don't wait until you have the perfect body or to lose the baby weight or until you're "ready". You're perfect now. If you wait for everything to be just right, you might be waiting forever. Debra is the most encouraging person i could've asked for for my very first shoot. She made the whole experience so comfortable." -Ally P

"One thing that stood out was when I had my viewing with Debra. I think so many times as women we can be plagued with negative thoughts about our body on a daily basis, wishing we could change certain things or be a little more like this and less like that. During my viewing seeing the images I thought to myself, "dang, you know what... I'm not doing too bad". I thought that was pretty cool to get a boost of confidence in that way. It's ok to love on yourself a little bit! It might start out as a gift idea for your hubby, but it is a gift to yourself almost as well in one way or another!" -Rachel M

"Debra and Mandy (the MUA) were both fantastic. Mandy took my vague suggestions for hair and makeup and worked wonders. Debra talked me through the whole shoot process and made me feel less awkward during posing (there were definitely moments I felt I looked funny). She knows her stuff and it was really neat to watch her work: seeing something and bringing it to fruition. My jaw dropped over myself. Who does that?! People photographed by Debra, that's who! We often don't see ourselves in our best light. (At least I don't.) It was important for me to "own" my body - I have PTSD from sexual assault, so I tend to shy away from trying to look sexy and the like, I'll admit. Having a boudoir shoot with Debra let me feel sexy, empowered, and safe, all at once. I could feel confident and secure during our shoot, even if it was going beyond my comfort zone." -Emily A.
